Services Update

Attention Refuge Family:

Earlier in the week the Conference Pandemic Task Force Team, due to the rising spike in Covid cases in MS, issued a communication strongly recommending, but not mandating, that all UMC churches cancel all in person gatherings and worship services. After discussions and time in prayer the Church Council at Refuge has decided to heed the recommendation by canceling all on site Sunday School Classes and Wednesday night Activities but will keep the doors open for Sunday Worship at 11:00 am.

With this being said I strongly urge you to carefully consider the risks associated with in person gathering and to not take any unnecessary chances, especially if you are in a high risk category. If you do decide to continue with in person Sunday Worship, please be sure to use all appropriate precautions to include self monitoring of symptoms, social distancing, wearing masks, and sanitizing your hands. Once again to reiterate, the Church Council has decided to remain open for Sunday 11:00 am Worship only, and to cancel all other in person activities until further notice. We will continue to evaluate the situation and adjust as needed. Thank you for your continued prayers and precautions as we navigate these difficult times.

Grace and Peace,

Bro. David Collette
